How a guide earns your trust.
The environment, the source, and the test boundary should be visible before you follow an instruction.
Source summary
A source summary organizes documented information. It does not claim that we tested the steps on a device. Each guide lists the sources and limitations that belong to it.
Tested and partially tested
These labels require a test record and a stated environment. A partial test explains its limitations. Tests on one platform or version do not establish compatibility on another.
Steps, safeguards and results
Guides should explain prerequisites, backups where relevant, the expected result and the route to take when a step fails. Unknown frame rates, supported versions and compatibility facts are left unknown.
AI assistance
The content system can use AI for research assistance, drafting and illustration. Automated checks are not a substitute for device testing or human fact checking. AI-generated illustrations are labeled, and guide evidence remains visible.
Updates and corrections
Guides show their publication date, modification date and version. Corrections should identify the article, describe the issue and provide a source where possible. Suggest a correction.
Tools and relationships
Tools need a documented use and source before they appear in the directory. Relevant links should help with the task, and commercial relationships must be disclosed when present.
