What the Snes9x 2010 core is
Snes9x 2010 is a port of Snes9x 1.52+ to Libretro and was previously called SNES9x Next. The official documentation describes it as rewritten in C with several optimizations and speedhacks.
The documentation states that this core provides more favorable performance thresholds at the cost of accuracy. It advises against using this core unless you have underpowered hardware and the mainline Snes9x core and the bsnes/higan/bsnes-mercury cores are not fast enough.
Documented feature support
- The official feature table marks the following as supported: Restart, Screenshots, Saves, States, Rewind, Netplay, Core Options, Memory Monitoring (achievements), RetroArch Cheats, Controls, Remapping, Softpatching, and Crop Overscan. It marks these as unsupported: Native Cheats, Rumble, Sensors, Camera, Location, Subsystem, Disk Control, Username, Language, and LEDs. Multi-Mouse is listed with a dash rather than a check or cross.
Core options in the official documentation
The SuperFX Overclock option is listed with the values Disabled(10MHz), 40MHz, 60MHz, 80MHz, 100MHz, Underclock(5MHz), and Underclock(8MHz).
